Patricia Fry Steward is an Investment Adviser Representative of Paraklete® Financial, Inc. Ms. Steward has more than 20 years of experience in tax planning, business planning and succession planning for businesses and their owners, as well as strategic planning for entity selection and operations analysis in conjunction with the overall tax and business planning considerations.
Ms. Steward has had a particular focus in the medical practice niche, providing assistance to physicians in developing compensation plans, admitting new physicians and related issues; assistance with operations analysis; and guidance regarding retirement plans. All of this is done with a focus on optimizing tax planning and personal financial planning between the entity, the physician and his or her family, with emphasis on asset protection.
Ms. Steward earned a B.S. degree in Math Education with honors from North Carolina State University (NCSU). After teaching math for four years, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and NCSU for accounting, auditing, tax and business law curriculum to obtain her CPA certification. In addition, in 1999 she attained and currently holds the professional designation of Personal Financial Specialist (PFS). Ms. Steward was a partner in a Raleigh, NC public accounting firm that merged with a national CPA firm in 1987. Ms. Steward is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Personal Financial Planning Section of the AICPA as well as a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs (NCACPA).
She is a member of Triangle Medical Managers Group, former president of Triangle Chapter of NCACPA, former board member of NCACPA and former board member of Triangle Commercial Real Estate Women (TCREW).
Ms. Steward previously served on the local boards of SouthTrust Bank, Capital Bank and, most recently, Regions Bank.
Ms. Steward previously served United Way of Triangle in several different capacities, including as a member of a special business task force that called on significant business contributors in Raleigh and the Triangle.
Born in Winston-Salem, NC, Ms. Steward and her husband have resided in Raleigh, NC since her graduation from NCSU.
